PSX trades 1.56b shares in a day for first time in history

KARACHI (92 News) - The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) traded 1.56 billion shares during Wednesday’s session in a day for the first time in history.

According to the reports, the PSX recorded an all-time high volume of stocks traded amid a positive sentiment due to GDP growth numbers and market-friendly budget expectations.

A total of 1.56 billion shares were traded during the session on Wednesday. The previous high was recorded in February this year when 1.12 billion shares were traded in a single day.

Meanwhile, the benchmark KSE-100 index gained nearly 511 points to close at 46,812.

On the other hand, the gold prices increased 2800 in one day and the price became 1,12,000 rupees.
