PTB publishes Class 8 Geography textbook showing six provinces of country

LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab Textbook Board (PTB) has published the Geography textbook for Class 8 showing a Seraikistan province in Punjab and a Hazara province in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Sources revealed that the PTB had published the book without any no-objection certificate (NOC) and approval for its publication. They added that about 150,000 books bearing the wrong map had so far been published and they were now available in the market. They said that a ‘disputed area’ had been written under Kashmir part of the published map. On the other hand, the publication of books having no NOC has been stopped. The publishers have moved court for stopping the publication. People say that the architects of future are being misguided by publishing the wrong map of the country.
