PTI all set to form government in Gilgit-Baltistan with a two-thirds majority

Those joining the PTI are Wazir Muhammad Saleem (GB-9), Nasir Ali Khan (GB-10), Mushtaq Hussain (GB-22) and Haji Abdul Hameed (GB-23). Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur welcomed the new-elected members on joining the PTI.

With the joining of PTI by, the PTI has become a party having a two-thirds majority in the Legislative Assembly.

Sources said that several names are being considered for the slots of speaker and deputy speaker. Kazim Maysam, a member of a allied party, is likely to be made education minister.

Raja Azam Khan, Barrister Khalid Khurshid and Col (retd) Obaidullah are in the race for the slot of the chief minister.

The sources said that those joining the PTI after winning the elections would be given key ministries. "In the first phase, the cabinet will comprise of limited numbers," they added.
