PTI boycotts joint Parliamentary meeting, demands resignation from PM
October 4, 2016
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Tuesday announced not to participate in the joint session of Parliament called by the prime minister on Wednesday. PTI chief Imran Khan, while talking to media after a high-level meeting, said that it had been six months but the prime minister had not responded to the allegations made in the Panama Leaks. The entire nation has been held hostage by one Panama issue, he said. “Neither is Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif giving a resignation nor is he giving a clarification on the issue. He has lost morality. Nawaz Sharif should resign and someone else should become the prime minister,” Imran Khan added. According to sources, PTI's core group has decided to shut down Islamabad on October 30. Final announcement would be made after the approval of party's core committee.
