PTI celebrates Youm-e-Tashakur, while opposition observes ‘black day’

LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and its allies are celebrating Youm-e-Tshakur (Thanksgiving Day) on Thursday to commemorate party’s victory in general elections 2018, while the joint opposition will observe it as a ‘black day’. In a statement, PTI Chief Organizer, Siafullah Khan Niazi has instructed the central and provincial leadership of the party to prepare for the celebration of historical win of PTI in general elections. He said workers would offer Nawafils to thank Almighty Allah while sweets would also be distributed in the country. On the other hand, the opposition parties will celebrate ‘Black Day’ over alleged rigging in general election 2018. The allied opposition breaks into parts before holding first rally against the federal government. The Awami National Party (ANP) also decided not to attend the rally of Quetta today. The joint opposition will hold public meetings in all the provincial capitals, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta, while a demonstration will be held in Islamabad. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will lead the public meeting in Karachi alongside PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq and Jamiat Ulemia-i-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will lead the public meeting in Peshawar along with PML-N’s Ahsan Iqbal.
