PTI chairman expresses conditional consent to IMF package: sources
LAHORE (92 News) - The PTI chairman has expressed conditional consent to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) package, revealed the inside story of his meeting with the IMF delegation.
Sources said that the PTI has given the proposal to bind the government to make the electoral process justified.
During the meeting, the issue of no-trust on the IMF programme during the previous government was also discussed.
The sources revealed that the PTI chairman had tried to justify himself over the matter. He also declared the opposition of the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments right before the package.
"He acknowledged the importance of negotiations before giving a new extension programme to Pakistan to all political parties. He also assured not to play politics on the extension program during the current negotiation round election campaign. He appreciated the process of taking the opposition in the loop," they added.
