PTI chairman Imran Khan says tribunal's decision is victory of justice
LAHORE (92 News) – PTI chairman Imran Khan has asked the workers to be ready for another sit-in as they have to snatch justice.
Addressing a gathering held to celebrate the verdict on NA-122 at Zaman Park on Saturday night, he said that they would contest the re-election vigorously.
He said that the decision of the tribunal is the victory of justice. "Two wickets have fallen and three will fall next week."
“I wrote a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan three weeks ago, but received no reply. I am giving two more weeks to the ECP. If it did not reply, I will stage another sit-in,” he announced.
The PTI chairman said that they have no trust in the ECP if the same holds re-elections in NA-122. “People in the ECP are stubborn. They should resign if they have dignity,” he said.
Imran Khan said that their objective was to bring a democratic system in Pakistan.
“I congratulate the people who participated in the sit-in. I struggled for two and a half years for getting the election system rectified. I have no enmity with Ayaz Sadiq. My objective is to improve the election system,” he said.
Imran Khan alleged that the N-League had fixed the match in collusion with the ECP.
He said that he had re-conducted local bodies polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the rigging charges.
