PTI chairman, Shah Mahmood Qureshi declared guilty in cipher case

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday submitted the challan to the Official Secret Act Special Court in the cipher case, declaring the PTI chairman and vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi guilty.

In the challan, the FIA has requested the court to award a sentence to the accused after conducting the trial. It has been stated that Asad Umar is not on the list of the accused.

According to sources, former Principal Secretary to the PM Azam Khan has become a strong witness of the FIA. The PTI chairman and Shah Mahmood Qureshi, according to the challan, had misused the state secret.

The transcript CD of the March 27 speech of the PTI chairman and Shah Mahmood Qureshi has also been attached to the challan. Moreover, a list of 28 witnesses, including former Foreign Secretary Asad Majeed, Sohail Mahmood and Niaz Trimzi, has also been attached to challan.
