RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Official Secret Act Special Court Judge Abu Al-Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain indicted the PTI chairman and vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cipher case on Monday.

However, both pleaded not guilty. The hearing was held in the Adiala jail. The court summoned the witnesses to record their statements in the case.

The counsels for the PTI leaders had objected to the delay in getting copies in the case and requested the court to wait till the verdict of the Islamabad High Court. However, the court rejected the objected.

On the court orders, the PTI chairman has been provided bicycle and Shah Mahmood Qureshi given a 'charpayee' (bedstead).

During the last hearing, the counsels for the PTI chairman and Shah Mahmood Qureshi had objected to the proceedings, contending that they had not yet received the copies of the case.

On the other hand, the Islamabad High Court reserved the verdict on the plea of Shah Mahmood Qureshi against the trial in jail. He had contended that in the courtroom in jail only three-four people can stand.

The chief justice remarked that the place should be in a good condition if the trial has to be conducted in jail. He observed that no lawyer can be deprived of the right to consultation.
