PTI core committee condemns language used in JUI-F sit-in

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee has condemned the language used in the sit-in of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F). Addressing the meeting on Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the government would accept the court verdict regarding sending Nawaz Sharif abroad. About the JUI-F’s sit-in, he said: “Protest is the democratic right, but it should not worry the citizens. The rights of citizens should be protected during the protest.” Talking to the media after a meeting presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting said that the language of the JUI-F leaders was unacceptable. “The Kashmir issue has been pushed behind due to the sit-in.” She said that the meeting had also discussed the legal action against the opposition leaders. “The opposition leaders displayed opportunism by becoming part of the sit-in. They tried to escape from corruption,” he said. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman used the religion card and damaged the Kashmir cause. She said that the prime minister had formed a five-member committee to look into the matters of the media. She said that the committee comprised of Jahangir Tareen, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry.
