PTI Core Committee rejects opposition's demand of PM’s resignation, new elections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The PTI Core Committee has categorically rejected Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s demand of the resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan and new elections in the country. The decision was made during a meeting held at Bani Gala with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair on Saturday. The meeting also decided that opposition’s no unconstitutional demand will be accepted. The participants also discussed several suggestions to deal with the march. The prime minister was also briefed about contacts made with the opposition. The meeting also condemned criticism of the Pak Army by the opposition leaders. It also condemned the statement regarding arrest of the prime minister. “The national institution linked to national security and defence will not be allowed to make a target of the opposition,” the participants resolved. It said that the country had made progress due to sacrifices of the institutions.
