LAHORE (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided that resignations will not be tendered, but the assemblies will be dissolved in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The decision was made during a meeting presided over by PTI chairman Imran Khan on Monday. The Punjab Assembly speaker and others attended the meeting.

A majority of participants proposed to dissolve the assemblies instead of tendering the resignations.

The meeting authorized the PTI chairman to dissolve the assemblies. The final date to dissolve the assemblies will be announced in 2-3 days.

Talking to the media after the meeting, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary said that Imran Khan will hold further consultation on the matter. "Imran Khan will meet Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi on Tuesday," he added.

He said that the MPAs from Sindh and Balochistan will also submit their resignations. "Moreover, National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf will be asked to accept the resignations of the PTI MNAs," he announced.
