PTI demands judicial commission for probe into attack on Rauf Hassan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday demanded formation of a judicial commission for a probe into an attack on party spokesman Rauf Hassan.

Addressing a press conference, PTI secretary general Omar Ayub questioned the whereabouts of the group carrying an attack on Rauf Hassan. “We will lodge a countrywide protest if any leader was attacked in future. The primary objective is to wipe out the PTI. However, the PTI cannot be wiped out despite all cruelties,” he added.

Rauf Hassan said that the PTI people had been tortured and kidnapped. “In addition, the sanctity of the boundary wall has been violated,” he added.

Talking to the media outside the Adiala jail, PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali demanded a notice of the Supreme Court and a fair probe into an attack on party spokesman Rauf Hassan.

He said that he had also discussed the matter with the party founder. “The attack on Rauf Hassan amounts to an attack on the PTI. We will lodge a strong protest if any leader was attacked in future,” he added.

He said that witnesses of the Al-Qadir Trust have admitted that there was no loss to the state in the case.
