ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is divided over removal of the name of former premier Nawaz Sharif from the exit control list. Sources said that a majority of the federal cabinet is against removing the name of Nawaz Sharif’s name from the ECL. Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda said that Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif are heading to the place where they have the looted wealth, relatives and court absconders. “However, the uncle will continue to visit and leave the country,” he said. The minister sarcastically said that they (Sharifs) had earlier fled to Saudi Arabia. “The condition of looking after Nawaz Sharif is that it can only be done by Maryam Nawaz,” he said. Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Ch has also opposed the removal of Nawaz Sharif’s name from the ECL. “Nawaz Sharif is a Pakistani leader and I pray for his health. Had I been Nawaz Sharif I would have not been opted to leave the country,” he said. He said that Nawaz Sharif could not construct a single hospital during his tenure where he could be treated. “Nawaz Sharif should have left the country after the plea bargain. The PML-N as a party should apologize to the nation,” he said. The minister said that the PML-N has the background of the NRO from the Musharraf era to date and the same impression is still intact. Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar said that the government does not want to do politics on the health of Nawaz Sharif. “The government’s stance in this regard is clear that it wants to send him abroad as early as possible,” he said. He said that doctors have suggested his treatment abroad. “I have personally contacted the departments concerned and Nawaz Sharif will be removed from the ECL,” he said. The governor said that they should not criticize the institutions.
