PTI former chairman, Shah Mahmood Qureshi indicted in cipher case, both plead not guilty

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Official Secret Act Special Court Judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain on Wednesday framed charges against the PTI chairman and vice-president Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cipher case.

However, both pleaded not guilty in the case.

The court will start the regular trial in Adiala Jail from Thursday. The statements of the witnesses will be recorded.

According to the charge-sheet read out in court, the secret cipher was waved in the public meeting and its content was discussed, using it for personal interests deliberately.

"The PTI former chairman's act caused a loss to the identity and national security. This act is a crime under the Official Secret Act," it added.
