PTI founder threatens to go on hunger strike over ‘maltreatment’ in jail

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - The PTI founder on Friday threatened to go on strike in protest against maltreatment in jail.

According to sources, the PTI founder will give the date for the hunger strike after consultation with the party leadership.

The PTI founder has stopped the party leaders from making the differences public within party. He said that the party would lag behind in their objective if differences will be discussed in the party.

On Thursday, the party leaders were not allowed to meet the PTI founder. Moreover, the PTI founder has directed the party leaders to participate in the All Parties Conference. “We are ready to sit in the APC for the solidarity of the country,” he added.

PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan said that the PTI founder would go on hunger strike after consultation if interference in the Adiala jail was not stopped.

He said that a countrywide hunger strike would be observed after the announcement by the PTI founder. “Peaceful protest demonstrations will be staged in the country. It is due to injustice to the PTI founder,” he added.

Ali Muhammad Khan said that the PTI founder had clarified people’s mandate was mandatory for real democracy.
