PTI founder used cipher to save his govt, says PML-N leader

LAHORE (92 News) - PML-N leader Azam Nazir Tarar said that the PTI founder had used the cipher to save his government.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said that extreme non-seriousness was shown in a very sensitive matter. "The PTI founder put the diplomatic relations at stake to save his one-year government," he added.

The former federal minister said that the special court had no option except to sentence the PTI founder. "The court verdicts should be criticized within a limit. It will be unacceptable if judges are attacked under the cover of criticism," he added.

He said that the cipher case verdict was as per law and constitution.

Legal expert Raja Khalid told 92 News that the former prime minister had played with the fate of the nation, not with the cipher. Yasin Azad said that it was not justified to make the cipher public.

"It is regretful that a damage was caused to the country for political objectives," he maintained.

Punjab former advocate general Ashtar Ausaf said that the accused were given a full chance to defend themselves, but the accused continued to use the delaying tactics in the case.
