ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Estranged member of PTI Akbar S Babar has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) got a funding of US$2.1 million from the Wootton Cricket Limited Dubai.

In a video message about the ECP Scrutiny Committee report on Thursday, Akbar S Babar said that the statement of Imran Khan does not have any value. “It is similar to 35 punctures, which was later said to be a political statement. If Imran Khan welcomes the report, then why did he file a petition against it. Recently his counsel has requested the ECP not to make the report public. In the report, foreign bank accounts have been verified,” he maintained.

Akbar S Babar said that the PTI has spread a rumor that there is shortfall of Rs 30.1 million to divert the attention from the issue. “It is not our duty to balance the accounts. Our job is to highlight the foreign and illegal funding. Our auditor has caught the foreign funding of Rs2.2 billion. I will submit my report in this regard," he concluded.
