KARACHI (92 News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Arif Alvi in a tweet on Thursday apologised for the "35 puncture" remarks openly, admitting that the remarks were based on rumours. As per details, Alvi withdrew Imran Khan’s statement, while the skipper has himself has not apologised for it yet. “We should have checked the facts before making such an accusation,” he said, adding that the party should not have have believed the false accusations. The statement comes a day after party chairman Imran Khan admitted that his claim of 35 punctures was "just a political statement". The claim refers to alleged electoral rigging in 35 constituencies of Punjab during 2013 general elections by the then care-taker chief minister Najam Sethi. Capture Meanwhile, another PTI leader Naeemul Huq claims the statement was correct and still stands by it. dda
