LODHRAN (92 News) – PML-N leader Jahangir Tareen said that he was disappointed by the verdict of the Supreme Court. Reacting to the verdict, he said that he wished the facts presented in the review petition should have been reviewed in detail. He said that he had played his role for the new Pakistan. “I tried my best to complete the mission of my leader for the country,” he said. Jahangir Tareen said that he will be thankful forever to the PTI workers for blessing him with their love. On Thursday, the Supreme Court had dismissed the review petition filed by Jahangir Khan Tareen against his lifetime disqualification. In December 2017, Tareen had been disqualified under Article 62(1)(f) of the Constitution by the SC on a petition filed by Hanif Abbasi for mis-declaration of assets. Later, in a landmark judgement announced in April 2018, the apex court had ruled that a disqualification handed down under Article 62(1)(f) of the Constitution is for life, which had rendered Tareen ineligible to hold a public office for life.
