ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PTI leader Jahangir Tareen has said that his party has signed an agreement with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) for formation of the government in the Centre. Talking to the media after meeting a delegation of the MQM on Friday, he said that both parties will cooperate with each other. “We agreed with the MQM’s suggestion for police reforms,” he said. He said that no attention was paid to Karachi and urban centres. “The PTI manifesto wants an effective local bodies system,” he added. Jahangir Tareen said that the MQM’s meeting with Imran Khan had been good. Khalid Mqbool Siddiqui said that the PTI will support them with regard to opening of their constituencies. “We have come here on the invitation of the MQM,” he said. He said that they had kept country’s interests in mind more than political interests. The MQM leader said that they had moved the Supreme Court over the census issue. “The objective of prosperity and progress of Karachi is prosperity and progress of the country,” he maintained.
