ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has on Thursday apologized for his remarks during the parliament session yesterday but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sheerin Mazari rejected his apology. Speaking on the parliament floor, Khawaja Asif tenders unconditional apology but the PTI leader Sheerin Mazari said that Khawaja Asif did not mention her name in the apology. The opposition parties also staged walkout from the assembly session. Earlier, Khawaja Asif had written an apology letter in which he apologized for the remarks during his speech yesterday as well as for his derogatory words against PTI's Shireen Mazari. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Shazia Muree criticized the apology letter of Khawaja Asif and speaker Ayaz Sadiq for reading the letter. She asked speaker Ayaz Sadiq that he should have moved a motion. Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that this doesn’t happen for the first time, adding that the world will see if a federal minister would use such insulting words for a female colleague.
