ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has decided to extend the federal cabinet and likely to allot one more ministry to Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q). As per reports, newly-elected Member of National Assembly Moonis Elahi, son of Punjab Assembly speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, is expected to appoint as federal minister for industry. Meanwhile, the final announcement in this regard will be made by the government at a suitable time. Earlier, Moonis Elahi became the Member of National Assembly (MNA) after winning seat during by-poll in NA-69 constituency. It was also reported that Moonis has already held meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen. It is pertinent to mention here that with the induction of six new ministers last month, the size of the Federal Cabinet has already swelled to 30, including 24 Federal Ministers and six Ministers of State. The latest six ministers were administered oath of office by President Dr Arif Alvi at a simple ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on October 5.
