ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court has hinted at action against PTI chairman Imran Khan and officers for violating the assurance during the long march last week.

In the 14-page written verdict, the court issued notices to the Islamabad IGP, chief commissioner, Interior secretary, DG IB and DG ISI, seeking reply to seven questions from them within a week.

Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial remarked that the decision on action would be taken reviewing the matter. "Apparently the PTI workers violated the assurance. The court's good intention was not given respect," he observed.

In his dissenting note, Justice Yahya Afridi remarked that the court has solid proof to take action against Imran Khan.

The court questioned when Imran Khan had ordered party workers to move towards D Chowk. "Who was supervising the mob entering Red Zone? Was the assurance given to court violated? What were security arrangements for Red Zone?"
