PTI MPA Shaheen Raza dies of coronavirus in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – PTI MPA Shaheen Raza died of coronavirus at Mayo Hospital, Lahore on Wednesday. She was 60. On May 17, she was admitted to DHQ Hospital, Gujranwala after her condition deteriorated.  She had been on the ventilator since then. She was also suffering from diabetes and blood pressure disorder. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar have expressed grief over the death of MPA Shaheen Raza. They expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul. According to the data available with the National Command and Operation Centre on Wednesday, as many as 46 more people died due to coronavirus during the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll to 985. The number of coronavirus patients has jumped to 45,898 with 1,932 cases reported during the last 24 hours. There are 16,685 cases in Punjab, 17,947 in Sindh, 2,885 in Balochistan and 6,554 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The number of patients in Islamabad is 1,138, 133 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 556 in Gilgit-Baltistan. In total, 13,101 patients have so far recovered. On the other hand, 13,962 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours and as a result, total tests conducted so far are 414,254.
