ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday opposed the Senate resolution seeking a delay in the general elections.

Reacting to the resolution, PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali demanded that the elections should be held on February 8 at all costs.

"The resolution passed by 14 senators has no legal and constitutional status. The Supreme Court should get its order to hold the elections on February 8 implemented. The SC should also ensure the level-playing field for all parties," he maintained.

In a message, the PTI spokesperson rejected the passage of the Senate resolution very shameful, terming it a shameful act.
