PTI, PML-Q reject proceedings to elect Punjab chief minister
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) rejected the proceedings to elect the Punjab chief minister on Saturday.
Talking to the media on Saturday, Fayazul Hassan Chohan said that the gallery is not part of the assembly. "We do not accept the election of the chief minister. The LHC should take suo motu notice of the incident," he added.
He also demanded that the proceedings of the deputy speaker should be cancelled.
He accused the PML-N of making an attempt to kill Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi. "The attack was carried out at the behest of Hamza Shehbaz in the assembly.
Chohan said that the 'lota' will be the symbol of the new government.
