PTI president Ch Pervaiz Elahi re-shifted to Adiala jail after medical tests at RIC

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - PTI president Ch Pervaiz Elahi was shifted to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology from Adiala Jail after he complained about heart problem and chest infection.

The PTI president was brought to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology after he complained about heart problem and chest infection in jail. He underwent several tests. He was again shifted to jail after clearance of the tests.

On December 2, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed a corruption reference in Lahore’s accountability court against Chaudhary Parvez Elahi and 12 others, alleging the receipt of Rs1.23 billion in bribe in connection with development project contracts in Gujrat.

He was earlier arrested in the case in August last year, subsequently being granted bail by the court. He is facing several cases, including an FIA money laundering case and allegations of illegal appointments in the Punjab Assembly.
