PTI to receive online applications for general elections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has decided to receive online applications for the general elections. The decision was made during a meeting presided over by PTI chairman Imran Khan on Monday. The PTI Parliamentary Board has decided to start the process to select the candidates immediately. A candidate seeking a National Assembly ticket will have to submit Rs 100,000 as surety, while a provincial assembly candidate will have to submit Rs 50,000 as surety. The forms are available on the party’s official websites. The PTI also refused to accept the recommendations of the Working Group with regard to delimitations and decided to object to the recommendations. The parliamentary board will award tickets on the basis of honesty, loyalty and ability to contest the elections. Imran Khan will himself hold the final interview. Imran Khan will preside over all the meetings of the parliamentary board. The board will deliberate on the applications from Punjab and Islamabad on April 14 and 15. The applications from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA will be discussed on April 17 and 18. The board meeting for Balochistan candidates will be held on April 20.
