PTI rejects bill passed by National Assembly, announces to move court

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rejected the bill, pertaining to vote right of overseas Pakistanis from abroad and use of electronic voting machine (EVM), passed by the National Assembly on Thursday.

Talking to the media, PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the objective of the electronic voting machine to hold fair elections.

"The purpose of giving the vote right to overseas Pakistanis is to establish their relation with the country," he added.

PTI leader Babar Awan said that the government had tried to blacken its face in the assembly.

"The SC had given the verdict to give the vote right to overseas Pakistanis. We will move the Supreme Court against the amendment," he announced.
