PTI rejects results of LG elections in Sindh, demands re-polling

KARACHI (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has rejected the results of the local government elections in Sindh, demanding re-polling in all areas.

Talking to the media on Thursday, PTI leader Asad Umar said that the fair elections were not held in Karachi and Hyderabad. "Results have been tampered with the state machinery. Ballot papers had been already stamped at several polling stations," he maintained.

The PTI leader demanded that the 'helpless' ECP should immediately resign.

He said that terrorism cases have been registered against those who demanded their right after a change in the results. "There will be dire consequences of pushing the popular parties to the wall," he added.
