ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) remained absent from the Apex Committee meeting despite an invitation extended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Talking to the media on Friday, PTI leader Asad Qaisar said that the policy of his party regarding terrorism had been successful. "The imported government has blocked the funds allocated for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. An amount of Rs230 billion is still outstanding," he added.

He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was mostly affected by terrorism. "During the PTI era, terrorism was controlled in an effective way."

Asad Qaisar said that they were ready to forget personal grudges for the betterment of the country. "The government should display seriousness," he added.

Shaukat Yousafzai said that the government was demanding accountability of Rs417 billion when the martyrs' bodies were lying.
