PTI's Amjad Zaidi, Nazir Ahmed elected GB Assembly speaker & deputy speaker

Amjad Zaidi bagged 18 votes, while Ghulam Muhammad of the opposition alliance got eight votes. Four votes were rejected.

On the other hand, PTI's Nazir Ahmed was elected the deputy speaker with 22 votes. Rehmat Khaliq of the opposition alliance got nine votes.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan held consultation to form the government in Gilgit-Baltistan. The names of Khalid Khurshid and Fatehullah are being considered for the slot of the chief minister.

Meanwhile, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri have congratulated Amjad Zaidi on his election as the GB Assembly speaker.
