PTI's Faisal Vawda submits his resigns as MNA in IHC

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda on Wednesday resigned from National Assembly and submitted his resignation in Islamabad High Court (IHC).

PTI leader resigned after casting his vote for Senate elections and his counsel submitted the resignation in the court and argued that disqualification case now becomes ineffective.

Earlier today, after casting his vote in National Assembly, Federal Minister Faisal Vawda claimed that Yousaf Raza Gilani will lose and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will sacrifice some other senator to elect Gilani to Senate later.

It is pertinent to mentin here that Faisal Vawda is contesting Senate election from Sindh on the ticket of PTI. 

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced not to withdraw the Senate ticket from Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda. The meeting under the chair of the prime minister reviewed the distribution of tickets in four provinces and objections to the tickets.

Sources said that the prime minister will take into confidence the people objecting to the ticket to Faisal Vawda on the video link. "Faisal Vawda has rendered services for the party a lot," the PM was quoted as saying.

He also decided to withdraw the ticket from Najeebullah Khattak of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and award it to Liaquat Tarkai.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan held a meeting with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and exchanged his views on the Senate election.
