PTI slaps Rs0.5m fine on MPA Imran Shah for beating up citizen

KARACHI (92 News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf slapped on Saturday a fine of Rs0.5million on its Sindh MPA Imran Ali Shah for beating up a motorist in broad daylight, said the party's provincial leader Firdaus Shamim Naqvi. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Naqvi said that the party has a no-tolerance policy on violence. He said that the inquiry was conducted by Rana Zaki. MPA Imran Shah admitted his fault before the party. “The disciplinary committee took the decision after taking into account all facts," said the PTI leader. He said that Imran can be dismissed from the party if complaints against him were received in future. He said that the party has directed the provincial lawmaker to pay for the medical treatment of as many as 20 elderly patients residing in Edhi center.
