PTI stages protest against attack on Imran Khan in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) staged a protest demonstration against the attack on party chairman Imran Khan on Monday.

The protesters blocked Murree Road at Faizabad and chanted slogans against the government.

The PTI workers also blocked Taxila-Margallah Road.

After the closure of roads in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the Capital police spokesman said that action would be taken against the people for staging protest without permission.

Addressing the protesters, PTI leader Fayyazul Hassan Chohan said that the workers are demanding immediate registration of the case. "The SC has ordered the IGP to register the case within 24 hours. We are here to express solidarity with Imran Khan," he added.

He said that t he protest would continue till getting the date for the free and fair elections.
