PESHAWAR (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration against prolonged power cuts and over billing in the provincial capital.

The agitating protesters and workers of the PTI stormed into the office of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO)

PTI lawmaker Ayesha Gulalai who led the protest, said that the overbilling must end, adding that the government is receiving taxes but unable to provide basis facilities to them.

She alleged that PESCO is run as per the directives of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Amir Muqam and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam president Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman.

The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) and Wapda authorities.
