PTI submits no-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari in Punjab Assembly

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a no-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari in the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday.

According to sources, over a dozen PTI members are supporting Dost Muhammad Mazari.

The no-confidence motion has been submitted in the office of the assembly secretary. According to sources, Dost Muhammad Mazari is not likely to vote for Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi.

Talking to the media, Dost Muhammad Mazari said that he was the custodian of the House presently and the assembly staff is not obeying his orders.

Fayyaz Chohan said that Dost Muhammad Mazari had joined the ranks of the opposition. "The deputy speaker is not taking action against the dissidents. For this reason, we are introducing the no-confidence motion," he added.

On the other hand, the Supreme Court has directed the advocate general to summon the session.
