PTI submits reference against Yousaf Raza Gillani to Senate chairman

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday submitted a reference against Senator Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani to the Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.

In the reference, it has been stated that being the former premier, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani had given costly vehicles to former president Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif from the Toshakhana. It appealed to the Senate chairman to de-seat Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani.

Talking to the media, Syed Yousaf Gillani said that cases were formed against the opposition leaders during the four-year government of Imran Khan.

"The no-confidence motion has been successful first time in the country. The inflation is sky-high due to the IMF deal. Why did Imran Khan not conducted investigations into the cypher," he added.

He said that he respect the courts while the Toshakhana case is already under trial.
