PTI takes lead in final phase of AJK LG elections: unofficial results

MIRPUR (92 News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leading in the inconclusive results of the last phase of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Local Government Elections (LG).

PTI won simple majority in Mirpur, Bhimbar and Kotli. The independent candidate was in the second position.

In the unofficial results of the last phase of Azad Kashmir's local Government elections, PTI won 23 out of 46 seats in Mirpur Municipal Committee. PTI won 21 out of 27 seats in Mirpur district council. Independent candidates won two seats, while one seat each went to the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Independent candidates won on five seats of the municipal committee Dadyal & PTI won one. PTI also won 8 district council seats.

In Municipal Committee Barnala, PML-N managed to win two seats while one went to an independent candidate. In Kotli Municipal Committee's Sahansa Ward, PTI won 2 while one seat went to the Muslim Conference.

According to the unofficial results of 30 out of 31 district council seats in Bhambhar, PTI won 11 and independent candidates won 9. PTI won six out of 10 district council seats from Kotli Constituency Rajmahal.
