PTI terms federal budget as 'detrimental to people'

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday termed the federal budget as ‘detrimental to people’.

Expressing his views in the Senate, Senator Shibli Faraz said that the government had increased the tax burden on the salaried class.

“The PPP and the PML-N are the representatives of the elite. The people of Pakistan are on the one side, while the elite is on the other side,” he added.

Shibli said that target of the budget income is based on misconception. “Tax has been imposed on the sectors, which will push the economy backward. It is visible that we will move towards downward,” he added.
