PTI to attend joint session of Parliament on Yemen
April 5, 2015
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) members of the National Assembly will attend the joint session of Parliament on the Yemen crisis on Monday. The decision was announced by PTI chairman Imran Khan after party’s core committee meeting in Bani Gala. The PTI’s decision to attend assemblies' session was made in the wake of government's decision to form Judicial Commission for probing rigging allegations into General Elections 2013. Talking to media, Imran Khan said the government’s stance on Yemen issue is confusing. “They must learn from past mistakes and not go into someone else's war. We took part in America’s war on terror and have lost billions; we took part in the Afghan conflict in the 80s and sectarianism grew. Pakistan has education emergency, economic issues and many problems of its own. It's time to focus on our own issues,” Imran said. Speaking on the Karachi situation, Imran Khan said his party will take action in courts against MQM chief Altaf Hussain if a single worker of PTI is hurt or subjected to any violence by MQM.
