Addressing a press conference, the minister said that the PTI emerged as the largest political party in GB after securing 10 seats in Sunday’s election. "The general elections in GB were transparent and fair," he added.

Sheikh Rasheed claimed that the PTI will have a two-thirds majority by the end of this month. “The PTI will boast a two-thirds majority after election of [the GB Legislative Assembly’s] speaker.”

He said that if PML-N and PPP have sense, they would have formed an alliance before the elections. "They will be seen crying in Azad Kashmir elections next year. he added.

Slamming opposition parties over holding public gatherings despite rising Covid-19 cases, the minister said they don’t care about people’s lives. "PDM members do not care about the children of the nation. I have given the suggestion in the cabinet to distribute free masks," he maintained.

He further announced that Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) will start operation from November 19. He said that it will be made a modern urban transport system and operated initially from Pipri to Karachi City station. "The fare has been fixed at Rs50 per travel," he added.
