PTI welcomes SC judgement, says 'Doctrine of Necessity' buried forever

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday welcomed the verdict announced by the Supreme Court three-member bench regarding the delay in the elections.

Reacting to the verdict, PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that today the 'Doctrine of Necessity' had been buried forever. "Those announcing the verdict as per the constitution and conscience are alive today," he maintained.

He was of the view that today is an important day in the political history. "The Supreme Court has buried the conspiring powers. Imran Khan has broken the idol of fear in our hearts," he added.

Barrister Ali Zafar said that now it was responsibility of the state institutions to implement the court verdict.

Senator Faisal Javed said that today the constitution had won. "The nation has been striving for the real freedom for the last one year," he opined.
