ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The PTI won the 'referendum' of the by-elections as Imran Khan grabbed six, out of eight seats in the National Assembly, in the by-elections on Sunday.

The PPP managed to get two seats.

In Peshawar, the PTI swept all three constituencies. According to the inconclusive results, Imran Khan won from NA-31 Peshawar with 57, 818 votes and defeated Ghulam Ahmad Bilor who got 32,252 votes. According to Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilor, he does not accept the election results.

In Mardan, PTI's candidate Imran Khan and PDM's joint candidate Maulana Muhammad Qasim of the JUI had a tight contest. However, Imran Khan won with 76,681 votes, while JUI's Maulana Qasim got 68,181 votes.

In NA-24 Charsadda, Imran Khan defeated PDM's joint candidate Aimal Wali Khan of the ANP by 10,233 votes. One of the reasons for the defeat of the ANP and the JUI is that both the parties did not vote for each other and the workers of People's Party and PML-N were also not seen in the polling stations.

In the most important constituency NA 108 of Faisalabad, PTI chairman Imran Khan defeated PML-N candidate Abid Sher Ali. He got 99,841 votes while Abid Sher Ali got 75,266 votes.

PTI chairman Imran Khan also contested in the by-election of Nankana NA 118. Imran Khan got 90,180 votes while PML-N candidate Shazra Mansab Ali Khan got 78,024 votes.
