PTI workers protest Imran Khan's arrest , block roads and clash with police

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PTI workers strongly protested against the arrest of party chairman Imran Khan across the country.

After the arrest of Imran Khan, workers came out on roads, chanted slogans and blocked roads by burning tyres. Keeping in view, provincial governments imposed section 144 in Punjab and Balochistan.

In Faisalabad, workers attacked the 'dera' of Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah. The police have arrested several workers from different cities.

Protesting workers pelted stones at the police on Murree Road in Rawalpindi, injuring a DSP and a sub-inspector.

In Lahore, PTI workers blocked the road outside Zaman Park. Protest demonstrations were also held at Akbar Chowk, PECO Road, Township and Faisal Town. The police used water cannons to disperse the workers.

Workers also protested against the arrest of Imran Khan by burning tryres in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sara-e-Alamgir, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Chichawatani and Multan.

In Peshawar, GT Road was blocked at Hashtnagri while the workers also blocked the BRT bus. Workers also staged sit-ins on roads and raised slogans against the government in Bajaur, Dir, Lakki Marwat, Mingora, Mardan and Tank.

A large number of PTI workers also protested in different areas of Balochistan, including Quetta. Workers blocked traffic by carrying batons and also held sit-ins on the national highways.
