ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has on Friday asked are these corruption cases or he has received kickbacks in development projects. Speaking informally to media before hearing in the accountability court, he said that it seems he is being punished for eliminating loadshedding and terrorism from the country. “The judges have themselves said these were not corruption cases,” he said. Sharif went on to say that he launched the mega project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and eliminated menace of terrorism. Responding to a question regarding former president and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, he said: “he is talking against him 'to please someone'”.
