Punjab allows to reopen schools in phases from Sep 15

LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Minister for School Education Dr Murad Raas on Monday said that schools in the province would reopen in phases from September 15. Murad Raas said that no double shifts would be allowed while all schools would follow the alternative day schedule according to which 50 per cent of total students would come to school one day while the remaining 50pc would attend the next day. Moreover, Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas said there would be "no double shift". "Alternative day schedule to be followed by all public & private schools," Raas said tweeted.

Schools across Sindh to reopen from Sept 15

Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that educational institutions across the province will reopen in phases starting September 15. He said universities and classes nine and ten will resume sessions from September 15 while classes six to eight will resume from September 22 and primary classes will begin from September 30. The minister said they will review the coronavirus situation a day before the stipulated date for reopening of educational institutions in phases. He said wearing masks, observing social distancing, and using sanitiser have been made mandatory for all students, teachers, and staff members. Students having flu or cough won’t be allowed to enter school. Separately, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the provincial education department has decided to conduct coronavirus tests on school staff and students.
