PA speaker forms parliamentary committee for appointment of caretaker CM

LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Assembly Speaker Sibtain Khan has formed a parliamentary committee for the appointment of the caretaker chief minister.

A notification in this regard has been issued.

The parliamentary committee comprises of Mian Aslam Iqbal, Raja Basharat and Hashim Jawan Bakhat from the government alliance, while Malik Nadeem Kamran, Malik Ahmed Khan and Syed Hassan Murtaza are from the opposition alliance.

The first meeting of the parliamentary committee will be held on Friday.

The matter will be referred to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) if consensus could not be reached by the parliamentary committee.
