Punjab Assembly will not be dissolved, Ch Shujaat assures PM Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has assured Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that the Punjab Assembly will not be dissolved.

The assurance was given by Ch Shujaat Hussain during his second meeting with PM Shehbaz Sharif within 24 hours on Monday. They also discussed the political situation in Punjab.

According to sources, Ch Shujaat Hussain said that Ch Parvez Elahi will soon be with them. During the meeting, the prime minister also arranged a telephonic conversation between Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Nawaz Sharif.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that he would talk to Chaudhry Parvez Elahi as well.

On the other hand, PM Shehbaz Sharif has expedited his efforts to save the Punjab Assembly. The PML-N held a consultative meeting for the third consecutive day.

Meanwhile, the PPP and the PML-N have directed their MPAs to reach Lahore immediately.
